This Privacy Policy explains what data Sorenda ("we", "us") collects when you use sorenda.app and the Sorenda apps, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple, the name and email address those providers share with us.
• Content you create: notes, topics, tags, custom card types, and files or images you upload.
• Saved pages: when you paste a link, we may download and store a copy of that page's content.
• Technical data: device, browser, and log information needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use your data

• To provide and maintain the editor, sync, and sharing features.
• To power AI features you enable — search by meaning, tag suggestions, image and document text recognition, and translation. This may involve sending note content to third-party AI providers for processing.
• To secure your account and prevent abuse.
• To improve the product based on aggregated, non-identifying usage patterns.

3. Sign-in with third parties

If you choose to sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple, we receive only the basic profile information (name, email) needed to create and authenticate your account. We do not post to these accounts on your behalf.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use local storage in your browser to keep you signed in and to remember your theme and language preference. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Storage and security

Your data is stored on our servers and encrypted in transit. Access is limited to what is needed to operate the service.

6. Data retention and deletion

Deleted notes go to trash and can be restored, or permanently removed by you at any time. You can export your notes as Markdown or delete your account entirely; deleting your account removes your content within a reasonable time.

7. Your rights

You may access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time from within the app. Contact us if you need help exercising these rights.

8. Children's privacy

Sorenda is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
